This year was the lowest amount of month-end inventory recorded in any September with over 2,216 less homes for sale than the lowest inventory we saw in 2017. It is one of the most difficult months to purchase a home that I have experienced in my almost 20 years in the business.

Homes are selling at a rapid pace of fewer than 6 days on average and homebuyers are taking advantage of the low-interest rates. The greatest challenge is finding sellers motivated to sell when they don’t have a lot of options to purchase.
